Shape Self is a series of figurative works that connect urban identity with ancestral energy by using repeating patterns to call attention to the way material culture mirrors nature. The S structure of the universe mirrors the S curve of the gold chain while the circular forms in a finger print mirror gold hoops that are iconic to the Black aesthetic.
